A new Direction

The Lord is leading me in a new direction. So for the moment I will not be writing in the blog. If He should tell me to write again I will.

I would like to say Thank you soooo much to my friends and family, especially my sister Sue for checking in.

I love you so much! Keeping seeking Jesus, He truly is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Spiritual Constipation

I was thinking today that physical constipation normally results from a bad diet resulting in failure to expel well.

Then I thought, that is a parallel to our spiritual life. If we are filling our lives with ungodly things, like worldly movies etc., we will be clogged with worldliness. If we are not filling up on Him, what will we have to overflow to others? When we fill ourselves with Him, it pushes out all the bad waste in our lives.

Jude 1 v 20

"But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit."

John 15 v 5

"I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing."

Ephesians 5 v 18

"And be not drunk with wine, in which there is excess, but be filled with the Spirit,"

Offence

The word 'offence' came into my mind as I was about to write.

Is this you, have you allowed yourself to be offended?

When I saw this picture, I thought, yes, this is what happens to an offended person. They build fences around themselves which keep the good things out.

Proverbs 19 v 11

"Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense."

Jesus wants us to forgive. Every time something comes to make you offended - use it as an opportunity to forgive. Respond with a soft answer. 

This blog today is specifically for someone - if that is you - please take note and act straight away - Jesus wants to set you free.

God is Love and He is all about you responding in love. That is His way. Make it yours and it will change your life in a way that you never thought possible.

Time Away

I am back from a time away getting to know my new grandson - Samuel.

Thank you to all who patiently looked for my return to the blog.

One thing I learned while away, is that we must be about our Father's business. We must do what He has made us uniquely to do. I am happiest when I am out encouraging and serving people. It is exhilarating! 

And it will be the same for you. Please take the time to find out from the Lord what He has ordained for you to do. You have a unique purpose in life and only you can do it!

2 Corinthians 5 v 9

"Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

He put desires in your heart to do what He wants you to do. Then when you do that - wow - it is extremely exciting.

2 Corinthians 3 v 18

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Overgrown

While walking with the Lord we passed land that was clear, but is now being covered with growth. He began to speak to my heart.

As the bushes start to grow, people who are new to the area will not see the "No Entry Private Property" sign. And they can, with a clear conscience walk on the land, not realizing that it is private.

He likened it to a lady who has started her life with the Lord and wears chaste clothing and then little by little has allowed the world's code of dressing into her life. People may then come along and think that she is open to all kinds of worldly behaviour because she has allowed the worldly weeds to throttle the truth.

This is a picture of anything that we allow to choke what the Lord is doing in our lives. It always happens little by little, so one does not tend to really notice. But I feel as this is from the Lord that He would like us to check and see.

Thank you Lord for showing us your truths. You care so much for us.

Evil Shows Itself

While spending time alone with the Lord this morning, the birds announced their presence to chew up the beautiful pepperdews growing outside my door.

The Lord got me thinking.

The worms tell us they are eating our plants by leaving their poop on the leaves below. So there are always telltale signs of when things are being destroyed.

In our lives this happens too. There are symptoms/evidences of what is happening in our lives.

James 3 v 16

"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."

Just think about that - that is HUGE!!! "Every evil work" And that comes from "envying" and "strife".

When we see the fruit of the flesh that is not right in our lives, we need to repent (change our mind), submit to the Lord and declare what Christ has made us, in Jesus' name. 

Romans 1 v 21

"Because, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened."

I think these are two of the most common but vital roots of many of the problems with us.

Galatians 5 v 22

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,"

Thank You Lord!

Hope For Our Future

All around us we see people lost, hopeless, sick, complaining and not knowing where to turn.

There is HOPE!

And that is JESUS.

Titus 2 v 13,14

"looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works."

One can't say it's too simple or too complicated.

Just perfect!!

It's ALL about Jesus!!

Colossians 1 v 17,18

"And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence."

Just come to Him. Fellowship with Him - He is longing for that. Ask Him your queries - He's there for you. He loves you and so wants you to let Him show you His love.

Matthew 11 v 28 - 30

""Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light""

Jesus loves you.

Time to Contemplate

Yes it's time to stop and think for a little bit.

In our world system, one gets up in the morning, then......go....go...go, then do... do.... do... then eat.... go...go.. go...do...do..., then go to bed. Next day the same routine. Before you know it you are just existing, working on auto pilot.

It is good to have a basic routine, but God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us and to show us how to operate His way.

Please take time to listen to Him. He will guide you into all truth.

John 16 v 13

""However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.""

How exciting is that????

He makes life worth living!

Knowing Him

John 17 v 3

""And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.""

The Lord showed me that if I am thinking over an issue/challenge more than I am resting in my relationship with Him, then that is an idol and needs to be brought down. 

This has been such a relief and brings such peace. When an issue comes up, I can peacefully hand it over to Him, then continue my praise and worshipful fellowship-relationship with Him. If anything needs to be done to solve the issue, then I am in the correct frame of mind to hear His voice and do anything He would like me to do concerning it.

""I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.""

Oh Yes!!!!! The best thing in the world is to be in this love relationship with the Lord.

Press Forward

Today I feel to tell you to go forward.

No matter what you are facing or how you feel.

You CAN go on!

Philippians 3 v 12-13

"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,"

Whatever is happening to you now, you have a choice of how you are going to respond. You could allow your situation to pull you down or you could to decide to go forward with God.

GO FORWARD!

YOU CAN!!

I heard a testimony of a lady who had been raped something like 200 times by her Father. BUT, she decided to let God lead her forward and has been totally victorious! 

Once I told a friend that I was feeling totally out of my depth. He replied 'Swim!' It was like a light bulb came on. Yes - with Christ I can do all things!!! Was it easy - no! But did I get through??? - Yes!!!!

YAY!!!!!

So come on my friend, take the Lord's hand, put your trust in Him and walk forward - You can do it - that's why He asked me to write this - it was for you.

How sweet is His name to our lips. Wow! What He has attained for us! I bow down on my knees and worship you Jesus.

I read this morning:

Romans 13 v 14

"But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts."

Even though He is within me, I can also put Him on - imagine then - that is what the world will see - Jesus.

We will truly be the light of the world then if we are clothed in Jesus.

Matthew 5 v 14

""You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.""

Romans 14 v 17

"for the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."

I learned about the Law of Focus recently. 

What you focus on increases.

So, when you concentrate on what you haven't got, or maybe on other's mistakes, that is what you will see more and more of.

BUT

When you concentrate on what Jesus has done for you and what He has attained for you, that is what you will see and experience more of!!! Hallelujah!!!

It also works for people. The more you look for the good points in people, the more you will find! And oh what a difference it makes to life!!!!

"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever."

The Lord showed me what to write this morning as I was watching a dove eating out of the bowl of seed that I had put out.

May we eat what the Lord has put out for us this day- not only food!! All His provision for today. The flowers in our path, the rain, the food, the people, the situations. Partake of and take notice with thanksgiving - this is not a boring life - He provides richly and abundantly. Eat with gusto of the life He gives us - new mercies everyday!!!

Wow!! That is Fantastic!!!!

Look around and notice the beauty He has put out for you and enjoy with thanksgiving.

Grace

Thank you so much to everyone who has waited for me to write a post again, and have faithfully checked in to see if there was anything new. I appreciate you, and pray you may be so blessed for loving our Jesus.

Where can we begin to talk about this most wonderful gift called "Grace"???

We can only touch the surface.

Can we fathom how much He loves us to have sent Jesus and to allow Him to go through what He went through for us????

WOW!!!!!

Stop and make time in your day, all through the day to love Him, to thank Him, to picture yourself hugging Him. Yes He is ALL powerful God, but He is also our Abba, Our Daddy.

It has made such a remarkable difference to my life to do this. This is building relationship with Him and this is what it is all about.

John 6 v 29

"Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.""

2 Tim 1 v 9

"who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began."

How AWESOME is that??? Different to what we picture works hey???

As we worship, love, praise, pursue and enjoy our Lord all throughout our day, His purposes and works will flow out of our life from Him in us.

So we don't have to try and generate them ourselves. Out of our lives will flow the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

How glorious is that????

"You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus."

Free Gift!

You don't have to pay for it!!!

How many times in life do we hear - "Buy this and you get a free gift"?

There is good news!

One thing in life you don't have to buy or earn.

Our Blessed Salvation through Jesus!!!

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,"

"Therefore, as through one man's offence judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life."

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."

Thank you Lord for SUCH a precious gift!!!!!

We just have to accept and receive. His sacrifice was more than enough!!!!

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Wow! How Awesome is that????!

Turbulence

The Lord gave me such a lovely picture this morning.

Looking out of my window while having my quiet time, I watched the tree across the road blowing in the wind.

When the wind blows in our lives the dead leaves are removed.

It is good, that when the wind blows we are supple in spirit, mind and body. When one is supple it is much easier to bend and not break, when the push comes.

Romans 12 v 2

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

To be supple it takes stretching in that area.

And I think one of most important things when the wind blows, is to have our roots deep in Him.

Colossians 2 v 6,7

"As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving."

Psalm 1 v 3

"He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper."

WOW!!!!!!

When the Holy Spirit (Also pictured as wind - but a good Wind), moves us in any direction let us move immediately, bending to His instruction.

1 Corinthians 2 v 4

"And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power,"
